Changes made in previous releases are listed in the following topics:
Landslides CDMA Femtocell Application allows for performance and load testing of both functions of the FNG. Landslide uses it's robust IPSec test capabilities, in conjunction with standard CDMA signaling, and emulates a large number of Femtocells and the mobile devices generating traffic to the mobile operator’s network.
The CDMA Ubicell is a base station, providing CDMA call coverage for areas that high capacity CDMA MACRO BTS cannot handle, such as dead spots in homes and indoor environments as well as areas where radio waves are weak.
The Phase I UbiCell testing is an initial support for Samsung’s CDMA Femtocell implementation. UbiCell is currently the femtocell of choice for several CDMA vendors and Landslide supports a Samsung compliant test implementation.
The Enhanced High Rate Packet Data (eHRPD) offers an evolutionary path to LTE, which supports interworking with non-3GPP networks. The HRPD Serving Gateway (HSGW) is the gateway between the CDMA operator network and the LTE packet core by way of the S2a interface. Landslide 7.0 supports phase I eHRPD testing, which includes performance testing, intra-HSGW handover, PMIPv6 (S2a) support into the LTE core, as well as data modeling capabilities.
Landslide 7.0 Tcl-based API has been expanded to allow total control of the Landslide system via the Tcl interface. This allows you to automate the Landslide system into your integrated test environment to manage, control and query the Landslide tests via the Tcl interface. All the capabilities available via Landslides GUI are available via Landslide’s Tcl API.
In addition to the following major change, there are other changes not listed here (see the release notes for a complete list):
TLV Compression Support
Fully controlled Network Initiated Handover (Profile A only) — emulated BS responds to handoff directive from the ASN-GW.
Supports AGW and PDF interface in CSN Nodal testing.
Supports Chained Certificate.
The PDML importer supports payloads of up to a maximum of 5K (5120 bytes) and automatically extracts DMF TDF (Test Data File), which is associated as Filler Data.
The Data and Performance Accelerator feature keys indicate the maximum number of Test Servers that may be assigned to the given accelerator.
Supports optional Authentications for MIPv6 in Mobile and CDMA2000 test applications per RFCs 4283 and 4285.
The PPP Tab now supports MSCHAPv2 as a new authentication method.
The Following Test Cases have been reorganized to reflect the GUI layout changes. The existing parameters have been grouped differently and no new types of parameter widgets have been added. Some settings that were in pop-up dialogs are now on sub-tabs and are visible only when they are applicable.
See Graphical Test Case Settings for a description of the test case settings layout.
