3GPP2 Enhanced Crypto Algorithms

When configuring EAP settings, if you enable EAP-SIM authentication or EAP-AKA authentication, you have the choice of using either the 3GPP Milenage or 3GPP2 Enhanced Cryptographic Algorithms.

Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) for Diameter

Support has been added for using Diameter EAP to authenticate MNs in AAA testing in accordance with RFC 4072. EAP measurements collected during AAA Diameter server emulation are reported on the Diameter Auth tab. Client side measurements appear on the Diameter NAS Auth tab.

WiMAX RADIUS Authentication and Accounting Attributes

Release 5.6 adds support for most of the WiMAX RADIUS VSA Authentication and Accounting attributes defined in the NWG Stage 3 specification....

3G Direct Tunnel

The 3GPP Release 7 Direct Tunnel provides a direct data path from the RNC to the GGSN. In the GGSN test case, with GTP version set to 1, you can enable the direct tunnel and associated error indication features in the GTP sub-tab for GGSN Node and GGSN Nodal parameters. In the UMTS test case, set UMTS version to 7 and you can enable a direct tunnel from the IuPS tab.

GMM "Combined" Attach Request

You can now choose the type of GMM Attach request message that the UMTS test will send the SGSN for the MNs: GPRS only, GPRS while IMSI is attached, or a combined GPRS/IMSI attach.
