The values on the GTP tab report the processing measurements for the Gn interface between an SGSN and a GGSN in the GGSN Nodal, GGSN Node, and UMTS test cases.
The values on the GTPv2 tab report the processing measurements for:
S11 interface between an MME/SGSN and a SGW in the SGW Nodal test case
S5/S8 interface between an SGW and PGW in the PGW Nodal test case
NOTE: GTPv2 measurements also record PDP context measurements that handle the data traffic for a MN. All GTPv2 measurements being with "Bearer". For example, Bearer attempts, which is the same as the "Attempts — PDP Context Activation Attempts" reported on GTP tab. |
In the default view, the Reports tab displays the Summary view, which summarizes the measurements for the test session. If your test includes multiple test cases, you can view the report for a single test case by changing the report view...
Unless otherwise noted, cumulative values report the number of occurrences or rates calculated since the start of the test, and per-interval values report the number of occurrences or rates calculated during the interval. You can view either by changing the measurement values...
Elapsed Time is the first measurement on every tab. It reports the amount of time between the start of the test and the end of the report interval.
Test Iteration reports the current iteration in a repeating test session. It is only displayed when a Number of Iterations is defined for the test session.
The following measurements record PDP context status in a nodal test case.

Disconnect Count — The number of PDP contexts disconnected.

Average Disconnect Time — The average time, in microseconds, required to tear down a PDP context.
Minimum Connect Time — The minimum time, in microseconds, required to establish a PDP context.
Maximum Connect Time — The maximum time, in microseconds, required to establish a PDP context.
Minimum Disconnect Time — The minimum time, in microseconds, required to terminate a PDP context.
Maximum Disconnect Time — The maximum time, in microseconds, required to terminate a PDP context.
QOS Update Attempts — The number of QOS update attempts.
QOS Update Successes — The number of successful QOS updates.
QOS Update Failures — The total number of QOS updates that failed due to a timeout or one of the errors listed.
Disconnect Attempts — The number of PDP contexts disconnect attempts.
Disconnect Successes — The number of PDP contexts successfully disconnected.
Disconnect Failures — The total number of PDP contexts that failed to disconnect due to a timeout or one of the errors listed.
Initiate PDP Context Activation Request Sent — The number of network Initiate PDP context Activations Requests sent from the GGSN to the SGSN.
Initiate PDP Context Activation Response Received — The number of network Initiate PDP context Activations Requests received by the SGSN.
Initiate PDP Context Activation Request Timeouts — The number of times the GGSN sent the activation request messages without receiving a response from the SGSN.
Initiate PDP Context Activation Request Received — The number of network Initiate PDP context Activations response received by the GGSN from the SGSN.
Initiate PDP Context Activation Response Sent — The number of network Initiate PDP context Activations response sent by the SGSN to the GGSN.
The table below lists the measurements that record the number and types of messages exchanged during PDP context establishment, updates, and tear down.
Counters for request messages sent to the GGSN are accompanied by a timeout counter that is incremented if a response is not received before all retry attempts have been exhausted.
NOTE: Counters for request messages are sent to PDN GW in PGW Nodal Test Case and sent to |
Counters that record requests received from the GGSN are accompanied by counters that record the associated response sent by the SGSN.

The following measurements report the number of PDP context failures and other errors by cause.
NOTE: GTPv2 tab includes the word Bearer at the beginning of each measurement. |
Error Indication Received — The number of error indications received from the GGSN. A GSN or RNC sends an Error Indication to the other GSN or RNC if no active PDP context or RAB exists for a received G-PDU.
Poorly Formed Received — The number of messages received that were incorrectly formatted.
Poorly Formed — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received from the GGSN with one of the following cause values:
Invalid Message Format (193)
Mandatory IE Incorrect (201)
Mandatory IE Missing (202)
Optional IE Incorrect (203)
Syntactic error in the TFT operation (216)
Syntactic errors in packet filters (218)
Non Existent — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received with a cause value of (192), which indicates a non-existent or an inactive PDP context.
IMSI Unknown — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received with a cause value of (194), which indicates a non-existent Mobility Management context.
No Resources — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received with a cause value of (199), which is a generic temporary error condition: e.g., all dynamic PDP addresses are occupied, or no memory is available.
Service Not Supported — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received with a cause value of (200), which is a generic error indicating that the GSN does not support the requested service.
System Failure — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received with a cause value of (204), which is a generic permanent error condition.
User Authentication Failure — The number of Create/Update PDP Context response messages received with a cause value of (209), which indicates that the external packet network has rejected the user's service request.
