Release 5.0 introduces the IMS Security Testing feature, the Gb/IP Support feature, and the PDG Test Feature. General test system enhancements and enhancements to existing applications and features that are included in Release 5.0 are listed below.
SCTP is now supported with Diameter testing. Use the Transmission Protocol drop-down list to select either TCP or SCTP.
EAP-TLS now supports Pairwise Master Key (PMK) generation with pre-shared keys and TTLS extensions for CHAP authentication.
You can now test a PDSN's Flow Control capability with a Flow Control message cycle.
Host-initiated traffic is now supported in Continuous data tests. Use the Role drop-down list to reverse the default client/server roles.
You can now set the Don't Fragment bit for traffic sent by MNs and traffic sent by a Network Host.
Retransmission is now configurable for all Advanced Data protocols.
The maximum Send Delay for a request or response message has been increased to 2 billion milliseconds.
The WTP layer now supports Transaction ID (TID) verification.
SCTP has been added to the Basic Data protocols.
Forward and Reverse Precedence can now be separately defined in the TFT Settings.
SCTP is now supported with Diameter testing. Use the Transmission Protocol drop-down list to select either TCP or SCTP.
Perfect Forward Security (PFS) is now optional with IKEv1.
EAP-TLS now supports Pairwise Master Key (PMK) generation with pre-shared keys and TTLS extensions for CHAP authentication.
The average time required to establish IKE SAs and IPSec SAs have been added to IPSec rate measurements.
When NAT-T is used, you can now configure the keep-alive timer.
Disable recovery ID checking with the Ignore Peer Restart checkbox.
The Inter-Technology Mobility test activity has been added to the CDMA/WiFi Convergence test case and Inter-Technology Mobility support has been added to the Session Loading With Mobility test activity. If your test system is also licensed for the CDMA2000 application, you can simulate mobility between WiFi and CDMA2000 networks.
The new CCoA checkbox in the CDMA/WiFi Convergence test case allows you to register the IP address obtained during IPSec SA negotiation as a co-located care-of address.
Use the new Test Session Scheduler to run pre-configured test sessions at a time of your choosing.
Select the measurements that are displayed in a test report with the new Report Filters option.
The API commands now support report generation while the test is running.
Display the test system's license key and view a summary of the current license with the TAS Manager.
You can now test the Iu-PS interface with either SS7-based or IP-based protocols and perform handoffs from one to the other. Use the Protocol drop-down list to select the protocol stack supported by the RNC nodes.
A Q.SAAL pane containing configurable re-transmission and connection control timers has been added to the IuPS tab. Re-transmission attempts and intervals are also now configurable for SCCP and GMM.
Average Mobility RAU Time has been added to GMM measurements.
Hexadecimal format can now be used to provision P-TMSI.
You can now choose to rename library elements when you import a Test Suite and avoid overwriting elements that you want to preserve.
A Window menu has been added to the Main window. With it, you can more easily locate and select windows that have been minimized or covered by other windows.
Capture a snapshot of any window contained within the Main window with the F9 (copy to clipboard) and Shift-F9 (save to file) key combinations.
