AP-WAN Node

Landslide emulates Access Points (WAN Nodes) and provides configuration to test WAN Node. You can emulate multiple nodes with the Number of APs setting1.

NOTE: Num of Nodes depends on your license capacity.

Activation Rate Indicates the number of Access Point1  links that the test attempts to establish every second. Tcl Parameter: WanStartRate
Deactivation Rate Indicates the number of Access Point links1  that the test attempts to tear down every second. All UEs must successfully detach from the WOGW before any Access Point links are torn down. Tcl Parameter: WanDisconnectRate
Skip 0 IP address If enabled will skip the x.x.x.0 IP address and use x.x.x.1 instead. Available only in Wifi Offload Gateway Nodal TC. Tcl Parameter: WanNodeSkip0IpsEn
Failed Threshold (%) Range from 0 to 100, Default = 0. Indicates the tolerance for failed AP connection. A value of 0 (zero) means zero tolerance.    Used to configure the percentage (%) of APs that may connect in order to continue a test. If the percentage of APs that fail to connect is more than the Failed Threshold % entered then the test case stops.    If the percentage of APs that connect is more than the (100 - Failed Threshold) % entered, then the test case continues with the understanding that the UEs assigned to those APs that failed to connect will not participate in the test.    For example: When Number of Subscribers = 10 and the Failed Threshold (%) = 49, that means that at most 4 subscribers (less than 49 %) fail to connect in order for the test to continue.    Available only in Wifi Offload Gateway Nodal TC. Tcl Parameter: ApFailedThresholdPercent
MAC Address Increment

Enter an increment value used to increment MAC Address. Available if MAC Address is enabled on the Physical Interface and if AP Tunnel type = GRE L2, CAPWAP, or NONE.

Range : 1 to 65535

Default : 1

Tcl Parameter: WanNodeMacAddrIncrement

MCC MNC

Available in AMF Nodal test case. Enter the Mobile Country Code (3 digits) and the Mobile Network Code (2 or 3 digits).

Default : 000

Tcl Parameter: ApWanMcc

Tcl Parameter: ApWanMnc

Pointer

Set ID

Region ID

SNPN NID

Available in AMF Nodal test case.

Enter the Pointer.

Range: 0 to 63. Default: 0

Enter the Set ID: The Set consists of some AMFs that serve a given area and network slice. Multiple AMF sets may be defined per AMF region and network slice.

Range: 0 to 1023. Default: 0

Enter the Region ID. The AMF Region consists of one or more multiple AMF Sets.

Range: 0 to 255. Default: 0

Enter Standalone Non-Public-Networks (SNPN) by adding NID configuration to PLMN ID's used for SNPN in network sharing mode. Up to 11 HEX Characters. A  default value of zero is used to indicate that NID has not been configured for the PLMN ie PLMN is not an NPN. Requires SNPN license + NGAP version 16.2.0 or higher.

Per Reference : 3GPP TS 23.501 v16.2.0:  System Architecture for the 5G System , 3GPP TS 38.413 v16.2.0: NG-RAN; NG Application Protocol (NGAP) , 3GPP TS 23.003 v16.2.0: Numbering, addressing and identification.

Tcl Parameter: ApWanPointer

Tcl Parameter: ApWanSetId

Tcl Parameter: ApWanRegion

Tcl Parameter: ApWanSnpnNid

Ethernet Configuration

With an Ethernet User Node, you can define:

NOTE: In the Wifi Offload Gateway Nodal test case, when the Tunnel Type is GRE L2 (on Test Configuration tab)) and the GRE Vendor Variant is Variant 1 (on GRE tab), you are required to  select MAC Address and enter the appropriate value. An error displays if no value is entered.

1 Maximum rates, number of sessions, and number of emulated nodes vary depending on the test configuration and the test system's licensed capacity.
