Reconnecting to a Test Session

If you disconnected from a test session while it was running, you are reminded that you have a disconnected session the next time you login to the test system.

To reconnect or abort a test session:

1. Select Session > Reconnect from the Main menu, and the Select a Test Session To Reconnect window opens. You may sort on the Name or Date/Time or Test Servers(s) used.
2.

1. Double-click the session or select it and click Reconnect to reconnect to a test session.

2. Select and click Abort to abort the test session. If clicked it will send abort to all selected tests. There is a confirmation dialog first, then an info dialog after all aborts are sent. Only the user running the test will be able to abort the test.

3.

The Test Session window opens to the selected test session and loads the last 4+ intervals. The intervals displayed on the report tabs begin with the last 4+ intervals (before you disconnected) and will accumulate as long as you stay connected.

If you had setup graphed measurements, restarting/reconnecting the test automatically rebuilds the chart with the same measurements.

NOTES:

  • In the previous releases of Landslide (versions 5.8 and less) the intervals displayed on the report tabs begin with the current interval at the time you reconnected and will accumulate as long as you stay connected.

  • If you want to view or save all of the report intervals, click the Load History button and the report measurements are downloaded to your machine at a rate of 4 intervals per second. The download rate is slower if you reconnect within 4 minutes of an interval adjustment period. A "Loading Measurement Interval Data" message flashes on the Reports tab until the measurements are completely loaded. New interval columns are added as the test continues to run.

TROUBLESHOOT: If all of the measurement intervals are not downloaded, you should increase your Landslide Client memory allocation.

4. You can also retrieve the test log to view the log messages collected while you were disconnected from the test session.
