Retrieving Test Logs

When you reconnect to a disconnected test session, you have the option of retrieving the test log history. The log messages collected from the start of the test until the time you reconnected are downloaded and displayed on the TAS Logs tab in the Logs tab... The entire test log is saved at the end of the test, whether you download the log history or not.

To retrieve a test log:

• After you have reconnected to the test session, select Logs > Open TAS Logs from the Test Session menu. The TAS Logs tab is displayed, and the log messages are downloaded and displayed.

  IMPORTANT: Displaying a log file from a complex or long duration test consumes a lot of memory. If the log file is 100KB or larger, you will be prompted to save the file rather than display it. Performance issues such as dropped measurements and "out of memory" errors can result from displaying a large log file. The maximum size for a test log is 100MB. If a log file reaches this size, it is cleared and restarted.
