Use the session control buttons in the Test Session window... to stop or abort a test session. Taking either action results in a confirmation dialog where you can confirm or cancel the action. You can disable these dialogs by modifying your Client Settings.
You can stop a test manually, or program the test to stop with Automation Control.
Click Stop and the TAS sends requests to the assigned test server to stop execution of the test cases. All active sessions or transactions with the SUT are gracefully terminated, the test system resources are released, and the test results are saved to the TAS. You can monitor the progress of the test cases as they are stopped.
If a test session cannot be stopped due to a configuration problem or if it is necessary to immediately halt a test without waiting for the stop process, you can abort the test.
Click Abort and the status bar indicates when the process is complete. If the abort complete message does not appear within a few seconds, click Abort again to force the system to release the resources assigned to the test session. You also have the option to abort the test when you close a running test session.
WARNING: This is an extreme method and should not be used lightly. All active connections from the SUT to the test servers will remain open, and the test servers involved in the test may have to be recycled. |
