The PCF/ePCF node is used in all CDMA2000/eHRPD test cases to simulate the Packet/evolved Packet Control Functions that service the MNs/UEs. You can specify multiple PCF/ePCF nodes with the Number of Nodes setting1. When you provision multiple nodes, the MNs are spread evenly among them.
NOTES:
|
The main PCF/ePCF nodes are defined on the PCF/ePCF Node sub-tab. PCF/ePCF nodes used for mobility handoffs are defined on the Target PCF/ePCF Node sub-tab when a mobility test is selected.
In MME Nodal test case, the emulated Target ePCF Node interfaces the HSGW SUT (when you select ePCF Node Emulation on the MME Nodal Test Configuration tab).
With an Ethernet node, you can define:
The IP address and routing options... The IP Address will increment for each node.
The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.
Custom port selection... and error injection with the Advanced... button.
The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.
The Open RP PCF/ePCF report tab displays the processing measurements for the PCF/ePCF nodes.
1 Maximum rates, number of sessions, and number of emulated nodes vary depending on the test configuration and the test system's licensed capacity.
