The HA emulator is used to simulate a Home Agent in a CDMA2000 or Mobile IP network.
In HA Node test case, you may select the multiple nodes.
In the FA Nodal test case,
it is defined in the HA Node
sub-tab.
In MIPv4 FA Nodal test case, you may also select the HA SUT from the
HA drop-down list, define
a specific port, and secondary HA.
The
HA emulator can be used in the CDMA/WiFi Convergence test case to
simulate a Home Agent when an HA SUT is not used. The emulator is
defined in the Network Devices
tab when you select HA Node Emulation
on the CDMA/WiFi
Convergence Test Configuration tab.
When an HA node is used, you can define the MN's home addresses with
the Home
Address Pool setting.
The IPv6 CN Nodal test case simulates the routing functionality of an HA node for Home Test Init and Home Test messages exchanged during return routability tests.
In the ASN Nodal Test Case, when Simple IP and WiMAX Forum Version 1.5.0 is selected, HA Node Emulation is disabled.
In AAA Server Node, when WimAX MIP4 application is selected, the AAA Node Server is processes any request from FA and HA.
With an Ethernet node, you can define:
The IP address and routing options... The IP Address will increment for each node.
The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.
Custom port selection... and error injection with the Advanced... button.
The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.
The HA Emulation and MIP Node report tabs display the processing measurements for an HA node.
