The PCF/ePCF S101 node is used MME Nodal and HSGW Nodal test cases where Inter-Technology and Optimized Handoff are enabled. Additional in MME Nodal, Handoff protocol = eHRPD.
The main PCF/ePCF nodes are defined on the PCF/ePCF Node sub-tab. PCF/ePCF nodes used for mobility handoffs are defined on the Target PCF/ePCF Node sub-tab when a mobility test is selected.
With an Ethernet node, you can define:
The IP address and routing options... The IP Address will increment for each node.
The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.
Custom port selection... and error injection with the Advanced... button.
The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.
Apply HRPD Sector ID Parameter from TDF (Tcl Parameter = HrpdSectorIdCfgFileEn)
This CSV has only HRPD Sector ID values. And the number is equal to the number of emulated ePCFs. Or, the maximum number of this Sector ID is as same as the maximum number of emulated ePCFs (i.e. 1,000). Incidentally, the bit length of cell id is 128bit.

The relation between cell id and HRPD Sector ID
Landslide needs to set up the relation between Cell ID and HRPD Sector ID so that emulated subscribers can move around the eNBs and the ePCFs. See example below.
IMSI |
440509010000000 – 09 (total 10 UEs) |
Emulated eNBs |
5 |
Initial number of eNB cell ID |
0x0000002 (last cell ids are 0x0000102, 0x0000202, 0x0000302 and 0x0000402) |
Initial eNB IP address |
10.133.0.1 (last ip addresses are 10.133.0.2, 10.133.0.3, 10.133.0.4 and 10.133.0.5) |
Emulated ePCFs |
2 |
HRPD Sector ID |
0xFEC00000000008C040000004519CD700 0xFEC00000000008C04000000530C44B00 |
Initial s101 i/f IP address |
10.133.0.11 (last ip addresses are 10.133.0.12, 10.133.0.13, 10.133.0.14 and 10.133.0.15) |
With the above configuration, the relation among them would be as follows when optimized handover is enabled.

We use the same parameter association among IMSI, eNB IP, Cell ID and S101 ePCF IP as implemented for Non-optimized HO case and Optimized-HO case. This defines how to correlate the HRPD Sector ID to the association. In summary, the HRPD Sector ID shall be associated as same as S101 ePCF IP.
The Open RP PCF/ePCF report tab displays the processing measurements for the ePCF S101 nodes.
1 Maximum rates, number of sessions, and number of emulated nodes vary depending on the test configuration and the test system's licensed capacity.
