Applying a Configuration

Use the Test Server Configuration window... to apply the displayed configuration to the test server and save the configuration definition.

To apply a configuration:

  1. Display a saved configuration... to apply, or modify the current configuration.

  2. Click Apply, and the test server is configured according to the definition in the displayed configuration. The configuration is also saved and labeled with the date and time. You will receive a confirmation message when the changes have been applied.

The test server is rebooted when the new configuration is applied. Its status cycles to Not Ready, and remains until the test server registers with the TAS.

IMPORTANT:

  • Since the test server is rebooted when a change is applied, you will be warned if the test server is not idle. Click Yes to continue and abort any tests that may be running, or click No to abort the configuration change.

  • In an Entry System or Laptop configuration, the test server and TAS share the same platform. You are prompted to save your work before continuing since the platform is being rebooted.

  1. Test the connection to the test server.
