If you purchased the L2TP Network Server feature, you can use the LNS Node test case as a virtual LNS to support L2TP testing that is driven by test devices external to this test system. The virtual server includes Network Host functionality, can support both control and bearer plane testing as shown in the diagram below, and will respond to any LAC that presents valid credentials. The L2TP Secure Network Server feature provides a virtual server with IPSec support.
With this test case, you define:
The virtual server's IP address
The number of PPP sessions that will be supported
MN address pool
PPP and L2TP configurations
When IPSec is used, a specific LAC is defined as well as the IKE configuration
Add Data Traffic to the server to respond to messages received by the LNS node.
Encrypt L2TP control traffic and/or Data Traffic with Dynamic IPSec (L2TP Secure Network Server feature required).
Measurements collected for the basic LNS Node test case are reported on the following tabs. Additional measurements may be available depending on the options supported by the node.
