The Connectivity Service Network (CSN) Nodal test case allows you to test the CSN over the R3 interface within a WiMAX core network. The test system emulates the Mobile Subscriber Stations (MSS) and Base Station (BS) nodes, as well as the Access Service Network (ASN) Gateway, Network Access Server (NAS), Foreign Agent (FA), and Network Host.
Landslide supports handover between a CDMA network and a WiMAX network. The purpose of this application is to support HA Nodal testing.
The following nodes/elements will need to be emulated by the Landslide in order to support 3GPP2/WiMAX inter-working during HA Nodal testing:
Mobile Subscriber Station (MSS)
Base Station (BS)
Access Service Network Gateway (ASN-GW)
Network Host (NH)
RNS/PCF
PDSN/FA
With this test case, you define:
HA and AAA SUT devices
Identifiers for the MSS and FA nodes
EAP authentication options
The MIP scheme and extensions
The AAA transaction types
RADIUS message attributes and optional vendor-specific extended attributes included in the different message types. Attributes can be provisioned within the test case or obtained from a Test Data File.
Measurements collected for this test case include:
Counters that record the number and types of messages sent and received
Average response times for the different types of messages received from an SUT
Errors encountered during the test
MSS context state and rates
When your test activity measures processing capability rather than rates, you can expand the scope of the test:
Add Data Traffic to the test to more closely simulate a live network using various wireless applications and protocols.
Enable the DHCP Client to obtain IP addresses for MSS contexts from a DHCP server.
NOTE: DHCP configuration is not supported for Client or Proxy MIP but is mandatory for Simple IP. |
Simulate multiple FAs for simulating handoffs
Configure user and device authentication with Double EAP
Measurements collected for the basic CSN Nodal test case are reported on the following tabs. Additional measurements may be available depending on the test activity and options executed with the test case.
