Client platforms require minimal configuration: installation of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that is necessary to support the Landslide Client application, identification of the proxy server, when a proxy server is present and have sufficient memory to support Landslide Client application operations and test reports. When a user attempts to log in, the system scans the client platform for the correct JRE and prompts the user to download and install the JRE if necessary.
The processor speed, RAM, and disk space requirements vary according to the type of test system and the type of tests that you will be executing. As a general guideline, when your testing consists of simple, single test server tests the lower requirements are adequate. When a test uses multiple test cases and test servers, a more robust client configuration will yield better client performance during test execution.
The minimum version of any of the following browsers: Chrome 100+ and Firefox 100+.
Java Runtime Environment 11 (1.11.0) and later is supported by Landslide. Java 11 is recommended. Recent Java 11 Windows®, Linux®, and Mac™ JRE installers are supplied with the system on the Troubleshoot Clients page / http://TASIP/clienthelp.html. Or else find them on the web, e.g. http://www.java.com (Requires License), https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases/ (Open Source). Using Java 17 or later with the Landslide Client will require special configuration to fully work. For additional details for Java see topic Java Client Specific Information.
For HTTPS Communication, we recommend installing a proper SSL Certificate prior to use. For additional details on installing an SSL Certificate on the TAS, see Signed SSL Server Certificate in the TAS Manager Menu or Signed SSL Server Certificate in the TAS Manager Web UI Menu.
