When you enable LNS Node Emulation in the Test Options in a GGSN Nodal test case, the LNS Node sub-tab defines the L3-7 interface node for all GGSN nodes in the test. Only Ethernet physical layers are supported.
In the GGSN Nodal test case, the LNS Node simulates one or more SGSNs that terminate the Gn interfaces with a GGSN SUT.
The GGSN Node test case simulates a GGSN and terminates the Gn interfaces with SGSN SUTs or nodes.
With an Ethernet LNS Node, you can define:
The IP address and routing options... The Starting IP will increment for each node.
The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.
The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.
Custom port selection... and error injection with the Advanced... button.
