FA Node

In CDMA2000 HA Nodal test case the FA node is used to simulate a PDSN with a Foreign Agent. In the IPv4 HA Nodal test case, the FA node is used to simulate a router with Foreign Agent functionality and in the CSN Nodal test case, the FA Node is used to simulate a PDSN-FA interface to the HA under test. You can emulate multiple nodes with the Number of Nodes setting1.

NOTE: In the CSN Nodal Test Case, when Simple IP and WiMAX Forum Version 1.5.0 is selected, the FA Node is disabled (Also, MIP IPSec checkbox, Dynamic HA checkbox, and HA SUT are disabled).

The main FA nodes are defined on the FA Node sub-tab. FA nodes used for mobility handoffs are defined on the Mobility FA Node sub-tab when a handoff test is selected.

With an Ethernet node, you can define:

Related Measurements

The FA Emulation report tab displays the aggregate processing measurements for all of the FA nodes.

1 Maximum rates, number of sessions, and number of emulated nodes vary depending on the test configuration and the test system's licensed capacity.
