Landslide emulates the Diameter Routing Node (DRA) Node and provides a configuration to test DRA peer SUTs. You can emulate multiple nodes with the Number of Nodes setting1.
The Secondary DRA Node is available only when you select Secondary DRA Node on the Emulator Configuration tab. You configure the same settings as the primary DRA node except the Number of Nodes, which is kept in sync with the Primary DRA Node and is used for failover purposes.
Define the following:
Nodes Use Same IP Address, Increment Port: When enabled, all nodes will be created with same IP address and only the port number will be incremented. When Multi-Homed is selected as well, the Primary TestNode will get (1 + Number of nodes) consecutive IP addresses. I.e. one for the main node and separate IP addresses for each Multi-Homed node.
Tcl Parameter : DraNodeSameIpForNodesEn
Multi-Homed: Select to indicate that SCTP endpoint is multi-homed, where more than one destination transport address is used to reach the endpoint. When Multi-Homed is selected, an additional IP address will be used for the multi-home secondary IP. The IP address is defined as the Starting IP address incremented by one.
Tcl Parameter : DraNodeMultiHomedEn
Host: Depending on whether the node emulates originating or destination point, Host identifies the endpoint that originated the Diameter message or the Diameter Identity of the destination host.
Realm: Depending on whether the node emulates originating or destination point, Realm identifies the realm of the originator of any Diameter message or the realm the message is to be routed to.
With an Ethernet User Node, you can define:
The IP address and routing options... The IP Address will increment for each node.
The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.
Custom port selection... and error injection with the Advanced... button.
Select default routing that were configured for the test server.
Select the Next Hop IP Address instead of using the test server's default route.
The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.
1 Maximum rates, number of sessions, and number of emulated nodes vary depending on the test configuration and the test system's licensed capacity.
