The DHCP Relay Agent Node is used in the AMF Node, IP Application Node, Non 3GPP Access GW Node, SMF Node and Wifi Offload Gateway Nodal and Node test cases to emulate a DHCP Relay Agent as described in RFC 3046.
In Wifi Offload Gateway Nodal test case, the DHCP Relay Agent Node is available only when you select DHCP Relay Node Emulation on the Test Configuration tab. The emulated DHCP Relay Agent (on AP) interfaces UE and the DHCP Server (each AP has a DHCP Relay Agent).
In Wifi Offload Gateway Node test case, when you select Dual DHCP Relay Agent Nodes on the Emulator Configuration tab, it indicates that you are testing DHCPv4 and DHCPv6 relay agents at the same time.
The DHCP Relay Agent Node is the DHCPv4 relay agent node with IPv4 address.
The Second DHCP Relay Agent Node is the DHCPv6 relay agent node with IPv6 address.
In this case, user must input IP addresses with different IP types for “DHCP Relay Agent Node” and “Second DHCP Relay Agent Node” individually, which means “DHCP Relay Agent Node” is DHCPv4 relay agent node with IPv4 address, and “Second DHCP Relay Agent Node” is DHCPv6 relay agent node with IPv6 address.
In AMF Node , gNB CU SA Nodal and SMF Node test cases, the Second Agent(v6) tab displays when you select both UE DHCPV4 IP Address and UE DHCPv6 IP Address on AMF Node Emulator Cnfg or gNB CU SA Nodal Test Configuration or SMF Node Emulator Cnfg. The configuration on this tab corresponds to the Second (v6) DHCP Relay Agent Node on the Network Devices tab.
Tcl Parameter : SecondDhcpRelayNodeAddr
Tcl Parameter : DhcpRelayNodeAddr
NOTE: For CSN Nodal testing, the DHCP Relay Agent Node option displays only when you select the Simple IP Configuration. |
With an Ethernet node, you can define:
Custom port selection... and error injection with the Advanced... button.
The DHCP Relay Agent report tab displays the processing measurements for the emulator.
