X2-AP

The X2-AP interface provides control interface to EnodeB SUT from the Landslide emulated ENodeB.

The X2-AP tab is available in MME Nodal Test Case when Test Activity is Intra-MME Mobility, Handoff Type is X2, and you select X2 Interface on the MME Nodal Test Configuration tab.

The X2-AP tab is available in gNB CU NSA Nodal and gNB CU Node Test Cases.

EUTRA Mode Type

Select the EUTRA mode type.

Options are Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) or Time Division Duplex (TDD). In FDD mode, both uplink and downlink can transmit at the same time at different spectrum frequencies. In TDD, both uplink and downlink use the same spectrum frequencies but at different times.

Per Spec 36.423.

Available in gNB CU NSA Nodal test case.

Options : TDD or FDD

Tcl Parameters: X2apEutraModeType

FDD - Frequency Division Duplex

The FDD Pane becomes available for input when EUTRA Mode Type = FDD. Available in gNB CU NSA Nodal test case.

Uplink EARFCN

Enter the uplink for EUTRA Absolute Radio-Frequency Channel Number (ARFCN). An EARFCN defines a pair of Radio Frequency (RF) channel frequencies for uplink and downlink use.

Send X2 Reset After X2 Connected

Select to send X2 Reset only after X2 link is established in MME Nodal test case.

The reset messages are exchanged between the emulated eNodeB and eNodeB (SUT).

NOTE:
  • The reset message is sent (from eNodeB SUT to emulated eNodeB) in case of a failure resulting in the loss of some or all transaction reference information.
  • When a reset messaged is received (by the emulated eNodeB), all allocated resources on X2 related to the UE Contexts(s) indicated in the reset message are released and the all UE Contexts/associations are removed.

Type: True/False

Default: False

Tcl Parameter: X2apSendX2ResetEn
