MMS Tab


In MME Nodal the Multimedia Message Service (MMS) provides a means for sending messages for MMS load testing.   

Available in MME Nodal when MMS Support is enabled.

Message Service

Send Messages 
  • Send Messages: Select to enable parameter fields to capture MMS messages. By default, MMS protocol stack will retrieve MMS when MMS indication received. 

Tcl Parameter: MmsDataSendMsgEn

  • Message Start Delay (ms): Enter a value (in milliseconds) to specify the delay between the start generating MMS messages and the time when the device is ready for generating messages (i.e., the delay between the time a mobile successfully attaches to a network and the time the mobile device starts generating its first message). 

Range: 0 - 4294967295

Default : 1000

Tcl Parameter: MmsDataStartDelay

  • Message Interval (ms): Specify the delay (in milliseconds) between two consecutive generated messages. 

Range: 0 - 4294967295

Default : 1000

Tcl Parameter: MmsDataMsgInterval

  • Message Cycle: Select the radio button to indicate continuous generation of MMS or a fixed number of MMS. 
  • Continuous Message: When selected generates MMS messages till the stop-button is pressed
  • Fixed Number: When selected generates a fixed number of messages according to the value entered.

Service Addresses

The MMS service requires the following for relaying the message between the local and remote parties:

The following messages are supported : MO m-send-req, MO m-send-conf, MT HTTP get, MT m-retrieve-conf, MT m-notifyresp-ind

  • Local Phone Number - Less than 15 digits, allows +#(N0) in the beginning. Click to use the Auto-Increment Format Wizard.
  • Remote Phone Number - Less than 15 digits, allows +#(N0) in the beginning. Click to use the Auto-Increment Format Wizard.
  • Override DNS - Enable to override the DNS. Enter a valid IPv4 or IPv6 IP address. Default : 8.8.8.8
  • WAP Proxy Address - Enter the WAP (Web Application Proxy) Proxy Address in FQDN format or IP address.
  • WAP Proxy Port - Enter the WAP (Web Application Proxy) Proxy Port. Range : 0 to 65535, default : 80
  • MMSC - Enter to MMSC URL. Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) address that looks like a web URL.
  • MMS Attachment - Enter an MMS Test Data File attachment. Largest message size of 250kB.
  • MMS text/plain Message - Select the radio button to activate the text box directly below. Text Message: Up to 1024 (no newlines)

  • Apply MMS Client from Test Data File - Select to enter to MMS Client Test Data File. 

    A new TDF file for MMS data session will be created for this test. TDF file columns:
