HSS Node will emulate Zh interface. The purpose of Zh interface is to perform the retrieval of an authentication vector and possibly GBA User Security Setting (GUSS ) from the HSS. The reference point Zh used between the BSF and the HSS allows the BSF to fetch the required authentication information and all GBA user security settings (GUSS) from the HSS. The reference point Zh is an intra-operator domain interface.

When authentication is enabled, it will enable MAR from BSF towards HSS. When Enable Authentication is not checked, all fields within the container are disabled and no MAR (Multimedia Auth Request) will be sent. MAR, if enabled, will be sent after a successful UAR/UAA.
The following authentication schemes can be selected: IMS-AKA
Include Confidentiality Key Secret Key This is the password that is shared between the UE and HSS. Its used by authentication scheme IMS-AKA . Use the Auto-Increment wizard to set up keys. Click here to find out additional information about Parameter Auto Increment Wizard.
Operator Variant Key is used for authentication scheme IMS-AKA. Disabled for other authentication schemes.
