You can extend the Basic Template Library by adding new vendors and then defining the attributes associated with each vendor. With the Vendor ID Assignments window, you can add vendors, change a vendor name, and remove vendors. The vendor list is filtered by the protocol used in the test; either RADIUS vendors or Diameter vendors are displayed as needed.
Use the following procedures to maintain your vendor list. When you add a vendor, you can add the attributes associated with the vendor with the Edit VSA and Edit AVP windows. When you are finished working with the list, click Close.
Click the Vendor... button in the Edit VSA window... or Edit AVP window... or the VSA Saved Templates window, and the Vendor ID Assignments window is displayed.
Click and the Add Vendor window opens.
Enter the vendor's ID and Name. ID is the vendor's SMI Network Management Private Enterprise Code, and it provisions the Vendor-ID field in an attribute (1 - 16777215). The IANA maintains the official list of enterprise codes here. Standard RADIUS and Diameter attributes are grouped with an ID of 0 in the library, but this code is not actually used in the Vendor-ID attribute field.
Click OK to add the vendor, or Cancel to return to the list.
NOTES:
|
Select the vendor from the list.
Click Modify, and the Modify Vendor dialog window opens.
Edit the Name, and click OK to commit the change, or Cancel to discard the change.
Select the vendor from the list.
Click Delete, and the vendor is deleted from the list.
IMPORTANT: When you delete a vendor, all templates associated with that vendor are deleted from the Template Library. Attributes that have been saved in a VSA/AVP configuration are not affected, although they will not display a vendor name. |
