The pass/fail criteria feature allows you to set up criteria to indicate when a test passes or fails. Using the Pass/Fail Tab in the Test Session window, you can define Pass/Fail Criterion to:
Setting up of the pass/fail criteria is an aspect of Test Session definition and are available in the reporting, along with their results. On the Test Session window, the Overall State of the test (displayed in the upper left corner) includes the Overall Pass/Fail Criteria status in parenthesis, for example, COMPLETE (PASSED), RUNNING (PENDING), etc.

NOTE: The Test’s Overall Pass/Fail Criteria State will be PENDING if all Criteria are PENDING; FAILED if any Criteria are FAILED; PASSED if at least one Criterion is PASSED and none are FAILED. |
In addition, the pass/fail status is indicated on the test results web site. The Results web site includes a column for the overall pass/fail state, so you can quickly see if a test PASSED or FAILED.
The Status of each Criterion is also reported in the Run Log.
