Searching the Real-Time Logs


Criteria

Use the Log Search window... to set the criteria for your search. The type of log that you can search is governed by your account permissions. If you do not have the system permissions sufficient to view a log, its checkbox is disabled.

To set the search criteria:

  1. Open the Real-Time Logs window...

  2. Click on the Search button from the Real-Time Logs menu.

  3. In the Log Search window, set the criteria for the messages that you want to be displayed.

  4. Click Search, and the Log Search Result window... opens to the first page of messages returned by the search.

  5. If more than one page of results is returned, you can use the navigation buttons to view all of the results.

Tip: To copy the search results to a file, set Results Per Page to 500 (criteria), this displays all results on one page and can be copy and pasted into Excel or a text editor
