Finding a Test Case

Use the New or Open buttons on the Session Build Tab pane to select a test case. Clicking the New button displays the Add New Test Case window and clicking the Open button displays the Add Existing Test Case(s) window. Both the windows display the test cases available by Name, Date, Keywords, and Description.

To find a test case:

  1. Click the New button and the Add New Test Case window opens (you can add a new test case to a test session). Select the required Test Case displayed in the Select TC [Type] pane. Test case templates are located in the Basic and other libraries. Go to Step 2.

OR

Click Open and the Add Existing Test Case(s) window opens (you can add an existing test case to a test session). Select the Library in which the test case resides from the drop-down list.

  1. When the window opens, the last Test Session (if selected), and the first Test Case (in case of one or more TCs), that you used is selected by default.

NOTE:  The selection of editing choice may be applicable for only the current Client Session. Systems restarts and logout may clear the previously saved values.

  1. Sort the test case list by any column. Click the column header and the list is sorted by that column. An arrow indicates whether the list is sorted in ascending or descending order, and you can reverse the order by clicking the column header again.

  2. Click the Filter button to limit the test cases displayed to only those test cases with matching keywords.
