While you are logged in to the test system, the Landslide Client monitors your connection to the TAS and displays the results in the status bar of the Main window... The information displayed in the connection status includes your user name, the TAS IP address, and the connection state in the format <user name> logged in to <Landslide Manager IP address> (<connection state>) as shown in the example.
The following messages are used to describe the stability of the connection:
connection OK the connection is stable.
connection WARNING the connection is operable, but may be experiencing intermittent transmission failures.
connection BUSY the connection is stable, but the TAS was servicing other requests when the check was performed.
connection FAILURE the connection check failed and the Landslide Client is unable to determine whether communication with the TAS is possible. If communication cannot be re-established, you will be logged out.
CONNECTION FAILED the connection has dropped and you will be logged out.
NOTE: The TAS will forcibly disconnect a client if is determined to be idle for period of time. The maximum idle time is 36 hours by default, but this is configurable via TAS-Setting “max_client_inactivity_hours”. See topic - Edit Settings . An idle client is one that a user is not actively interacting with in a way that communicates with the TAS. A client is not considered idle if it is monitoring a running test, even if the user does not send any requests to the TAS. If the client is disconnected due to this idle time, a real-time log and system notification will be reported with a message “due to inactivity (no user requests)”. All client and TAS activities are logged in the Landslide Client Console Logger along with a reason for the activity. For example:
To view system messages received by the client, press Shift-Alt-L" and the Landslide Client Console Logger displays. |
