The values on the BSSGP tab report the processing measurements for the BSS GPRS Protocol layer in a UMTS Gb interface test.
In the default view, the Reports tab displays the Summary view, which summarizes the measurements for the test session. If your test includes multiple test cases, you can view the report for a single test case by changing the report view...
Unless otherwise noted, cumulative values report the number of occurrences or rates calculated since the start of the test, and per-interval values report the number of occurrences or rates calculated during the interval. You can view either by changing the measurement values...
Elapsed Time is the first measurement on every tab. It reports the amount of time between the start of the test and the end of the report interval.
Test Iteration reports the current iteration in a repeating test session. It is only displayed when a Number of Iterations is defined for the test session.
The following measurements record the aggregate Packet Flow Context (PFC) measurements for all BSS nodes.
Attempts — The number of PFCs the test attempted to establish.
Successes — The number of PFCs the test successfully established.
Failures — The number of times the test was unable to establish a PFC due to one of the errors listed below.
Data Packets Received — The number of bearer plane packets received by all BSSs.
Data Packets Sent — The number of bearer plane packets sent by all BSSs.
Data Bytes Received — The number of bearer plane bytes received by all BSSs.
Data Bytes Sent — The number of bearer plane bytes sent by all BSSs.
Accumulated Connect Time — The average time required to create a PFC.
Accumulated Disconnect Time — The average time required to delete a PFC.
Disconnect Count — The number of PFCs deleted.
The following measurements record the number and types of messages exchanged between the BSS and the SGSN.
Paging Count — The number of Paging PDUs received from the SGSN.
PS Handover Required Count — The number of PS Handover Required PDUs sent to the SGSN, initiating an inter-BSS handoff or a Gb-Iu handoff.
PS Handover Required ACK Count — The number of times the SGSN acknowledged the successful completion of the requested handoff.
PS Handover Request Count — The number of PS Handover Request PDUs sent from the SGSN to the target BSS, conveying the information necessary for the target BSS to establish the required PFCs.
PS Handover Request ACK Count — The number of acknowledgements sent by the target BSS, notifying the SGSN that the requested PFCs have been established.
PS Handover Complete Count — The number of PS Handover Complete PDUs sent by the target BSS, notifying the SGSN that at least one uplink data block has been received from the MN.
Download PFC Count — The number of Download BSS PFC PDUs sent to the SGSN, indicating that the MN is attempting to send uplink traffic and that a PFC is required.
Create PFC Count — The number of Create BSS PFC PDUs received from the SGSN, conveying the information necessary for the BSS to create or modify the subject PFC.
Create PFC ACK Count — The number of acknowledgements sent to the SGSN after the BSS has successfully created or modified a PFC.
Modify PFC Count — The number of times a BSS requested that the SGSN modify the profile of the subject PFC.
Modify PFC ACK Count — The number of times the SGSN accepted or rejected a modify request. If the request was rejected, the SGSN returns the existing profile in the acknowledgement. If it was accepted, the SGSN returns the requested profile.
Delete PFC Count — The number of times the SGSN requested that a PFC be deleted or responded to a delete request from a BSS.
Delete PFC ACK Count — The number of times a BSS successfully deleted a PFC.
Flow Control PFC Count — The number of Flow Control PDUs sent to the SGSN, notifying it of the downlink capacity for a given PFC.
Flow Control PFC ACK Count — The number of acknowledgements received from the SGSN in response to Flow Control PDUs.
Delete Request PFC Count — The number of times a BSS requested that the SGSN delete a PFC.
BVC Reset Count — The number of BVC Reset PDUs received from the SGSN, indicating the need to re-initialize any contexts associated with a BVC due to a failure in the SGSN or in the underlying network, or due to the restoration of transmission capability.
The following measurements report the number and type of errors encountered.
Timeout — The number of times a response was not received before the timer expired.
Invalid Packets — The number of packets received that contained an unknown protocol type or an invalid IP checksum.
Packets Discarded — The number of packets that could not be parsed.
Packets Re-transmitted — The number of packets re-transmitted due to a timeout.
Data Errors Received
Data Errors Sent
PS Handover Required NACK Count — The number of times the SGSN was unable to process a handoff requested by a BSS.
PS Handover Request NACK Count — The number of times the target BSS was unable to successfully establish the PFCs requested by the SGSN during a handoff.
Create PFC NAK Count — The number of times the BSS notified the SGSN that it was unable to create or modify a PFC.
