The values on the A8/A9 tab report the packet counters and rates for the A8/A9 interface between the PCF SUT and the BS Node in PCF Nodal test case.
In the default view, the Reports tab displays the Summary view, which summarizes the measurements for the test session. If your test includes multiple test cases, you can view the report for a single test case by changing the report view...
Unless otherwise noted, cumulative values report the number of occurrences or rates calculated since the start of the test, and per-interval values report the number of occurrences or rates calculated during the interval. You can view either by changing the measurement values...
Elapsed Time is the first measurement on every tab. It reports the amount of time between the start of the test and the end of the report interval.
Test Iteration reports the current iteration in a repeating test session. It is only displayed when a Number of Iterations is defined for the test session.
Attempts — The number of initial sessions attempted. Although this value is the sum of Successes and Failures, the equation may not hold true at any given time during session processing since some sessions may be in a transient state when the measurements are collected.
Successes — The number of A8/A9 sessions that were successfully established.
Failures — The number of A8/A9 sessions that failed due to one of the errors listed below.
Equipment Failure — The number times the of A8/A9 sessions failed due to equipment failure.
Failure Admin Prohibited — The number times the of A8/A9 sessions failed due to administrator intervention.
Failure Insufficient Resources — The number times the of A8/A9 sessions failed due to insufficient resources.
Failure Packet Call Going Dormant — The number times the of A8/A9 sessions failed due to equipment failure.
Re-registrations — The number of re-registration requests sent.
PDSN Disconnects — The number of PDSN disconnects that occurred. A PDSN disconnect is defined as an update message sent from the PDSN to the PCF. To complete the PDSN termination, the PCF sends a RACK message to acknowledge the update message, followed by a registration request message with a lifetime of 0. When the PCF receives the registration reply from the PDSN, the PDSN disconnect is complete.
Min Connect Time — The minimum time, in microseconds, required to establish an A8/A9 session.
Max Connect Time — The maximum time, in microseconds, required to establish an A8/A9 session.
Min Disconnect Time — The minimum time, in microseconds, required to disconnect an A8/A9 session.
Max Disconnect Time — The maximum time, in microseconds, required to disconnect an A8/A9 session.
Disconnect Count — The number of sessions that were disconnected.
Average Connect Time — The average time, in microseconds, required to establish an A8/A9 session.
Average Disconnect Time — The average time, in microseconds, required to tear down an A8/A9 session.
Active To Dormant Count — The total number of packets received that requested to enter the dormant state.
Dormant To Active Count — The total number of packets received that requested to exit the dormant state.
The following measurements report the number of A8/A9 session failures by cause, including registration replies received by the BS nodes that contain errors from the PCF.
Setup Timeouts — The number of times a Setup Request was sent without receiving a response from the BS.
Service Request Timeouts — The number of times a Service Request was sent without receiving a response from the BS.
Release Timeouts — The number of times a Release Request was sent without receiving a response from the BS.
Disconnect Timeouts — The number of times a Disconnect Request was sent without receiving a response from the BS.
Update Timeouts — The number of times a Update Request was sent without receiving a response from the BS.
Setup Retries Exceeded — The number of setup attempts that resulted in the defined Retries being exceeded.
Service Request Retries Exceeded — The number of service requests attempts that resulted in the defined Retries being exceeded.
Release Retries Exceeded — The number of release attempts that resulted in the defined Retries being exceeded.
Disconnect Retries Exceeded — The number of disconnect attempts that resulted in the defined Retries being exceeded.
Update Retries Exceeded — The number of update attempts that resulted in the defined Retries being exceeded.
NOTE: Errors due to exceeding the defined number attempts, will not prevent the session from being established if a reply is received before all retries have been exhausted. |
Registration Reply Retries Exceeded — The number of registration attempts that resulted in the defined Retries being exceeded.
NOTE: This error will not prevent the session from being established. |
The following measurements record active to dormant session transitions. You can enable Dormancy and define a dormant timer.
Active To Dormant Count — The number of sessions that changed status from active to dormant. A8/A9 sessions enter the dormant state by sending a registration request to the PCF with an air link record type of stop.
Dormant To Active Count — The number of sessions that changed status from dormant to active. A8/A9 sessions exit the dormant state by sending a registration request to the PCF with an air link record type of start.
