The MS Radio Access Capability Information Element is used in UMTS and GPRS networks to inform the radio network of the capabilities of the MN. Although these settings do not affect test operations from the MN's perspective, a SUT may treat an MN differently depending on its reported capabilities. The settings available depend on the GPRS release selected.
This topic describes the configurable attributes for the information element. The topics listed under Related Parameters describe additional protocol settings, and Locations lists all of the test cases that support these settings with a path to their location.

The following attributes define the time needed for an MN to switch from one radio channel to another or to perform a neighbor cell power measurement.
Options: 1/4 Timeslot — 16/4 Timeslot
Default: 1/4 Timeslot
Tcl Parameter: GmmRaSmsValue
Options: 1/4 Timeslot — 16/4 Timeslot
Default: 1/4 Timeslot
Tcl Parameter: GmmRaSmValue
The following attributes define the MN's class support.
If DTM GPRS High Multislot Class is set to Class 31/36 or 41, class 9 is required. For classes 32/37, 33/38, or 42-44, class 11 is required.
Options:
Unused
Multislot Class 5 Supported
Multislot Class 9 Supported
Multislot Class 11 Supported
Default: Unused
Tcl Parameter: GmmRaDtmGprsMs
Indicates that the MN supports combined full-rate and half-rate GPRS channels in the downlink. When this attribute is not used, the MN supports the multislot class defined by DTM GPRS Multislot Class. When it is used, Class 10 is required if DTM GPRS High Multislot Class is set to Class 31/36 or 41, and Class 11 is required if Classes 32/37, 33/38 or 42-44 are selected.
