LLC Tab

When you configure a UMTS test case for Gb interface testing by selecting the GPRS protocol stack, the Gb tab is displayed. With it, you can define the SUT, the BSS link rates, and the transport protocol attributes for the RAN side of the Gb interface.

This topic describes the Gb interface settings. The topics listed under Related Parameters describe the other settings used in the UMTS test case.

Logical Link Control settings define the Service Access Points supported by the BSS nodes and the link management timers.

XID Settings Use the grid to specify the negotiable parameters for each Service Access Point Identifier (SAPI) supported by the BSS nodes. These values will be included in Exchange Identification (XID) commands sent to the SGSN. The grid is initialized with the 3GPP recommended defaults.
SAPI

Provision the parameters by entering values in the rows corresponding to the appropriate SAPI:

  • 1 — GMM (LLGMM)

  • 3 — User data 3 (LL3)

  • 5 — User data 5 (LL5)

  • 9 — User data 9 (LL9)

  • 11 — User data 11 (LL11)
