QoS Profiles

The QOS Rules parameters are available only when Default Bearer QOS Profiles is enabled on PCC Rules tab. The QoS rules define the authorized QoS traffic class for an IP connectivity Access Network (IP-CAN) bearer or service flow.

Number of Profiles

The Number of Profiles.

Valid Options: 1 - 16

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvNumBearerProfiles

Number of Profiles n

QoS Class ID

The QOS Class ID defines the maximum authorized traffic class for the IP-CAN bearer or service flow

Select the QoS Class ID checkbox, enter the required QOS Class ID and define the associated maximum bandwidth for uplink and downlink IP packets.

Range: 0 - 255

Tcl Parameter:

TyCcSrvBearerQci_1

ARP Rules

Use the ARP (Allocation and Retention Priority) to determine the relative priority level during admission and congestion processes.

The primary purpose of ARP is to decide whether a bearer establishment/modification request is accepted or needs to be rejected in case of resource limitations (typically available radio capacity in case of GBR bearers). In addition, the ARP is also used (e.g. by the eNodeB) to decide which bearer(s) to drop during exceptional resource limitations (e.g. at handover). Once successfully established, a bearer's ARP does not have any impact on the bearer level packet forwarding treatment (e.g. scheduling and rate control).

NOTE: The parameters enabled when you select ARP Rules, applies only when Gx is selected on the Emulator Configuration tab.

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerArpEn_1

Type: True/False

  • ARP Value

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerArpValue_1

Range: 1 - 15

Default: None

  • Pre-emption Capability: Select the checkbox to enable

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerArpPreemptCapEn_1

Type: True/False

  • Pre-emption Vulnerability: Select the checkbox to enable

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerArpPreemptVulnEn_1

Type: True/False

Include Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate Information

Select the checkbox to enable and enter the maximum bandwidth for Uplink and Downlink values.

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerAmbrEn_1

Type: True/False

  • Uplink defines the maximum bit rate in kilo bits per second allowed for the Uplink IP packets.

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerAmbrUl_1

Range: 1 — 4294967295

  • Downlink defines the maximum bit rate in kilo bits per second allowed for the Downlink IP packets.

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerAmbrDl_1

Range: 1 — 4294967295

Include Guaranteed Bandwidth Information

Select the checkbox to enable and enter the Guaranteed Uplink and Downlink values.

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerGuarEn_1

Type: True/False

  • The Uplink defines the Guaranteed bit rate in kilo bits per second allowed for the Uplink IP packets.

     Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerGuarUplink_1

Range: 1 - 4294967295

Default: 300

  • The Downlink defines the Guaranteed bit rate in kilo bits per second allowed for the Downlinklink IP packets

Tcl Parameter: TyCcSrvBearerGuarDownlink_1

Range: 1 - 4294967295

Default: 300

Map Qos Profiles to APNs

The number of rows is equal to the Number of APNs set for APN mapping.

For each APN, a new row will be added in the table with each column denoting a RAT Type.  APN number and Name are display only - unable to update.

Under each RAT type (UTRAN, EUTRAN, GERAN, WLAN, VIRTUAL, GAN, HSPA EVO, HRPD, UMB, CDMA 2000, EHRPD and Other), assign a QOS profile number (from above list). Default = 1. Up to 16 profiles.

NOTE:You should provide Tunnel information only when using Proxy Mobility IP (PMIPv6/v4).
