Simnovator Administration


The table below describes the fields used in the Simnovator Administration window. Used by DU Nodal Testing

Simnovator Administration is visible to all users, but only editable by System Admins and above. 

Simnovator Administration is available from REST API and Tcl API (GET/Retrieve for everyone, POST/DELETE/Modify/Delete only for System Admins).

REST API Function for : simnovators and vertexes (GET, POST, DELETE)

Tcl Perform Functions:   AddSimnovator, ModifySimnovator, DeleteSimnovator, AddVertex, ModifyVertex, DeleteVertex.

Field Description

Add Simnovator

 

Delete

Click the Add button to add a new Simnovator. Up to 8 are supported.

Enter the Name of the Simnovator. Provides the user the ability to create a meaningful name more than a FQDN or IP Address for the Simnovator. 

Enter the details on the right pane, such as Type, IP Address, Port, etc of the Simnovator.

 

Click the Delete button to delete a previously added Simnovator.

Type

Select the type of Simnovator. The TAS will confirm it when running tests (or if user clicks "Test License").

Options : UE SIM or ORU.

Address

 

Enter the IP address of the Simnovator.

Port

Enter the port of the Simnovator.

License ID

Simnovator systems will be required to be individually licensed by their Simnovus License ID.

  • Simnovus License IDs must be defined in the TAS license  (simnovus_lic_id_0, simnovus_lic_id_1....)
  • Simnovus License IDs is selectable from a License List and will be checked when TAS starts against existing Simnovators

Associated Vertex

Each Simnovator can be optionally associated with one Vertex. Select the associated Vertex or NONE.

Test License

Test License will query the Simnovator from the TAS to check the connectivity and compare Simnovus License ID and TYPE against what it actually is and report SUCCESS or the reason for failure. 

If it is RUSim, you also can add the Fronthaul/PTP config as below.

Fronthaul/PTP

Fronthaul/PTP will allow admin to view/edit the Fronthaul and PTP properties. The TAS will communicate with Simnovator not the Client. Enter the parameters in the panel that is provided:

Topology options are : LLS-C1, LLS-C2, LLS-C3

Profile name options are : G.8275.1, G.8275.2

Click Edit to and selected Simnovator row to update.

Click Cancel to cancel the Edit Mode.

Click Close to close the Simnovator Administration window.
