The DCCA test application provides comprehensive Diameter Credit Control Application testing in a 3G environment. The DCCA client and server exchange the messages necessary to negotiate mobile user access to prepaid services and the charges for the use of those services. The client could be a Network Access Server (NAS), as shown in the diagram below, or an application server that provides services or products for a fee.
The test cases provided with the DCCA application enable you to test both a DCCA server and a DCCA client. The basic capability of the DCCA test application, the DCCA Server Nodal test case, tests a DCCA server by generating traffic from an emulated client towards the server, and listening for and interpreting the responses.
With the optional DCCA Server Node test case, you can include an emulated DCCA server in a test session with a test case from another application in order to test a NAS SUT. You can also use the test case in standalone mode and provide a virtual DCCA server that can support test operations driven by another test system or tool.
