Extreme Capacity and Throughput

Landslide Extreme Capacity license provides higher control plane capacity testing, that is, it allows you to test with the maximum number of sessions/bearers available on a Test Server. Extreme Capacity is supported on Landslide devices equipped with 64Bit OS: C100 M4 servers.

A maximum of 11 Contexts/Bearers per MS/UE is supported. The following shows how the supported Contexts/Bearers per MS/UE are calculated.

NOTE: The relationship between session capacity and the number of bearers (contexts) per UE (MS) is different for LTE and GPRS/UMTS.
Application Relationship Between Session Capacity and the Number of Bearers (Contexts) per UE (MS)
GPRS & UMTS
  • Number of MS * (Number of Primary Contexts * (1 + Number of Secondary Contexts))
    <= Number of Licensed Sessions
LTE
  • Number of UE * (Number of Default Bearers per UE) <= Number of  Licensed Sessions
  • Number of Licensed Sessions / (Number of Default Bearers per UE) = Number of UE
  • Number of Licensed Sessions / Number of UE = (Number of Default Bearers per UE)
