When interpreting measurements that deal with "per second" rates, it is important to note that the calculation is based on the actual processing time (in milliseconds) rather than the Elapsed Time displayed in the measurement grid.
Example: 169,470 packets were processed during a 15-second interval. This would seem to result in an 11,298 packets/second rate (169,470 / 15), but the value displayed in the packets/second measurement is 12,035.34. The actual processing time was 14,081 milliseconds (169,470 / 14.081), not 15 seconds.
