Landslide provides next hop capability on Gi Node so that the network host and Gi Node can be co-located on the same server during GGSN Node testing. (Availability depends on your system license.)
On the Emulator Configuration tab, select Gi Interface (Gi Node) and enter the required Ethernet configuration.
Tcl Parameter: GiNodeEn
The Physical interfaces for the Gi Node differs from eth interface for Network Host.
Select STC data (select Gi Interface (Gi Node) and then STC data) to run STC data.
NOTE: STC Data is available
only when your system is licensed for MXP on a chassis.
GGSN Node test case included as one of the accelerated Data options for Landslide on TestCenter is designed to be used only in conjunction with the GGSN nodal test case to test GTP firewalls or Gn monitoring devices. You cannot use a standalone GGSN node without the GGSN nodal test case. When you run the GGSN nodal test case with the GGSN node test case on a MXP Test Server, you may insert a firewall SUT between the two and monitor the Gn interface. This setup supports up to 80 GB of line rate traffic. |
With an Ethernet Gi Node, you can define:
The IP address and routing options... The IP Address will increment for each node.
Tcl Parameter: GiNodeAddr
The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.
Default Routing: When this button is selected, the emulator will use the routing protocols and static routes that were configured for the test server.
Next Hop IP Address: Instead of using the test server's default route, you can force the traffic through a specific test port or set the emulator's next hop to a physical device in the test network. When you select this option, enter the IP address for the next hop in the adjacent field.
The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.
NOTE: When ARP Request is received by multiple eth-ports of the TS, the ARP Response sends back only through the port that is bound to the requested IP address. |
