The MCE Configuration Update procedure updates application level configuration data needed for the eNodeB and MME inter-operation on the M3 interface. The eNodeB initiates the update procedure by sending an M3 CONFIGURATION UPDATE message to the MME with the appropriate configuration parameters/data.
