N6 Data Traffic Tab

Landslide provides next hop capability on the N6 Node so that the network host and N6 Node can be co-located on the same server during UPF Node testing, SMF/UPF Node Emulation in the AMF Nodal test case or UPF Node Emulation on SMF Nodal test case or gNB CU SA Nodal test case. (Availability depends on your system license.)

Maximum Transmission Unit

Maximum Transmission Unit

The number of bytes at which fragmentation will take place at the bearer plane IP layer.

NOTES:

  • Supports jumbo frames and this value includes all data payload bytes, TCP headers (if present), and IP headers.
  • The maximum value for 32-bit machines is 2000 and for 64-bit machines is 9300.

Range: 123 — 9300

Default: 1400

Tcl Parameter: TrafficMtu

VLAN

Select VLAN and enter the VLAN ID.

Range: 1 - 4095

Default: 1

You can select the VLAN and enter a VLAN ID to include a VLAN tag with the specified ID in every packet transmitted.

Tcl Parameter: ForwardSessionVLanTag

NAT

Select to enable dynamic one to one (IP to IP) NAT function.

NAT IPv4 Address Pool - Allows provision of Starting NATed IPv4 address. Enter a valid IPv4 address with out mask.

NAT IPv6 Address Pool - Allows provision of Starting NATed IPv6 address. Enter a valid IPv6 address.

Tcl Parameter: NatEn

Tcl Parameter: NatV4AddrPool

Tcl Parameter: NatV6AddrPool

N6 Node

The Physical interfaces for the N6 Node differs from the interface for Network Host.

  • If physical interfaces are the same then the traffic between UPF Node and the Network host flows through the internal loopback and it cannot be observed (pcap files).
  • If the N6 Node is not enabled, then the traffic between UPF Node and Network host flows also through the internal loopback and it cannot be observed.
  • If next hop IP address is configured, please make sure either UE assigned IP address is in the N6 interface subnet or Next Hop IP address and UE assigned IP address are in the same subnet.

Select N6 Interface and enter the ethernet configuration.

Select to enable Dual Stack Support on the N6 Node section and select IPv4 or IPv6 address configuration.

Ethernet Configuration

With an Ethernet N6 Node, you can define:

Tcl Parameter: N6NodeEn

Tcl Parameter: N6DualStackEn

Tcl Parameter: N6NodeAddr

Tcl Parameter: N6NodeV4Addr

Tcl Parameter: N6NodeV6Addr

  • The MAC Address to override the Hardware MAC address so the packets sent out of the interface will use the provisioned MAC address rather the Hardware MAC Address.

  • The Outbound Traffic Port to disable the normal routing function and to force packets out of the selected interface.

NOTE: When ARP Request is received by multiple eth-ports of the TS, the ARP Response sends back only through the port that is bound to the requested IP address.
