This method of stopping the TAS is used when you want to warn other users on the system that a shut down is pending and give them time to save their work and log out gracefully. You must be logged in to the test system as the Super User to initiate a shutdown.
Select Admin > System Shutdown from the menu. The System Shutdown window will appear.
Enter the number of minutes to delay before initiating the shutdown. A value of 0 will initiate the shutdown immediately. The maximum number of minutes is 4320 (72 hours).
Enter the message that is displayed to all active users, then click Shutdown! to begin the process.
If you entered a delay time, a window opens that allows you to cancel the shutdown before the timer expires. Click Cancel to abort the shutdown.
If there are active tests at the time the shut down occurs, a confirmation window opens that allows you to continue with the shut down or cancel it. Click Yes to continue with the shutdown.
TIP: If you set a delay time longer than a few minutes, be sure to check for this confirmation window as the shut down will not proceed until you click Yes. |
If you are still logged in to the system when the timer expires, you will be prompted to log out.
